So Long and Hard, But So Fast

This year has been so hard, so long, so dark in many ways. The kids are hard to deal with sometimes. It seems like life is slow and drags. But, then all of a sudden, this baby is on top of the table because he climbed up there all by himself. One day he suddenly decided he wants to take a step by himself. 

That little bitty baby is growing up after all. 

Always Walking Away

I used to love this picture because I liked the fall colors and the country view and the girl walking down the gravel road. Now I look at it and another picture like it, and I feel so sad. It's like she was always walking away, always planning to leave. I hate that she left us. She wasn't supposed to leave now. It's all so wrong. 

And, I just sit here and stare and cry.
