Freedom of Speech...As Long as You Speak Lies

It seems that freedom of speech doesn't really exist in our country if you want to speak truth. Whatever happened to people being able to say what they believe if they are sane, nice, normal people? If you want your voice heard, you have to scream and look like an idiot. Then people might listen to you and applaud you.

A bunch of nonsense.

A Feeling

There's a feeling of peace I get when I sit by the water's edge. It's a feeling of calm glory that only comes when I sit in His great garden. A feeling I try to hold onto when I go back to the city. A feeling I wish I never had to leave. 

So Loud

You're being so loud in the other room, you're waking the baby. But, at least it's happy noises loud.

Maybe They Still Exist

Sometimes I feel like all the sane people have disappeared from the face of the earth. I see one idiot after the other say one retarded thing after the other. 

And then suddenly, in the thick of it all, some shining light proves that people with working brain cells still exist. 

Ick

 

Ick! A swarming pile of ants. 

I wish I was so disgusted with sin that I would fight it with so much gusto.

You're So Tired

You're so tired, lovely old man, but you keep going to work. And, yeah, maybe you're partly just proud and have a hard time slowing down, but also you just wanna take care of your family. You kkeep getting up and doing what you need to do. 

I love you. I hope I can be a restful part of your life. 

Miss Out

We've talked about this before, but maybe sometimes we want to have so many little adventures that we miss out on the big adventure. The big adventure of living here, now, with these kids, these neighbors, this church, etc. Sometimes I think we need to chill out and just enjoy the "bland" every day stuff.

I hear about other women who act like it's nice to have lots of guys,

but I say it's best to have one true lover.
