Summer's Goodbye

I have always hated farewells, and this is a particularly sad goodbye. : (

Hey! Pick Me!

I used to be the girl who would look at nice single guys and think, Hey, I'm available. Pick me! 

In a swarm of young people, I was often one of the few who had never been asked out. I always wanted to get married, but no one seemed intersted in me, unless they were slightly creapy guys who I had absolutely no interest in. Looking back, it seems like I spent a lot of adult life as a single girl just hoping one of those cool guys would finally get around to asking me. 

But they never did. 

Until...

Finally, a very unexpected turn of events happened when I fell in love with the coolest guy ever, and he actually liked me, too. He eventually asked me out. 

And now look. I am a very happy, very unsingle girl. : )

You're Fun

You're a fun guy. I'm glad you're not too much of an adult that you can't still have fun with me. I'm glad you know how to lay aside serious stuff so you can enjoy life with me and others. You know how to crack jokes, make people smile and laugh, be silly, read Doctor Seuss books to your daughter, and watch kid shows with your wife.

I really like you, and one of the things I like about you is just how fun you are.

My Second Favorite

 

My favorite person in all the world ever is, of course, my beloved Jacob. I will always love him more than any other human. He's the best gift I've been given, and I cherish him so much.

But, I have a second favorite, and her name is Taliya. I love being her mother, and I can't believe how blessed I am to have her. She's beautiful and full of chubby health. She's got an adorable smile that brightens up her whole face. She's work, but she's totally worth it.

The face in the background is my third favorite.

Adventures

Adventures usually scare me a little. I love the idea of something new and fun and different, but I fear the unknown. So, when a big life change is about to happen, sometimes the scariness of the unknown gets in the way of the happiness of the adventure. I guess I just need to forget the fears and embrace the excitement. 

There's so much to look forward to in life. Why waste time worrying?
